Creator of Floppy the Robot - JackoBot Studio

This project has earned him recognition in competitions such as Crea Digital (winner twice), Historias de Cambio, and the National Stimulus Program. He has participated in fairs and events such as the Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBo), SOFA, Filvorágine, and Frikifest, among others, and will soon be present at various international festivals. Throughout his career, he has also collaborated on two Colombian feature films and numerous animated and live-action short films, consolidating more than a decade of experience in the audiovisual industry.

Jacobo Rendón is a Film and Television Professional, specializing in Post-Production, Visual Effects (VFX), and Digital Animation. His experience as a Senior Programmer in Unreal Engine has allowed him to develop audiovisual and interactive projects in film, advertising, television, and immersive experiences. He is the creator, director, and producer of Floppy the Robot, an animated film that is part of an ambitious transmedia universe that includes comics, video games, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and merchandising.

As a speaker, he has shared his expertise in audiovisual innovation and transmedia narratives at academic and professional events, highlighting his work at Bogotá SIGGRAPH in 2023 and 2025, where he presented the creative and technological processes behind his projects. In 2025, he founded JackoBot Studio, where he promotes animation, VFX, and interactivity projects with international reach, always with a focus on Colombian cultural identity and the use of cutting-edge technology.
